‘Pakeezah’ actress abandoned by son?

Veteran actress, Geeta Kapoor, known for roles in ‘Pakeezah’ (1972), ‘Mughal-E-Azam’ (1960) and ‘Razia Sultan’ (1983) has allegedly claimed that she has been abandoned by her son, Raja Kapoor at the SRV Hospital.

Deccan Chronicle reports the actor saying that she was left hungry for four days before reaching the hospital. Apparently, she has been in the hospital for a month.

Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit who visited the actress, was cited in the publication saying, “I have seen her films and I could not recognise her because she was in bad shape. I’m ready to do everything for her. There are many in the film industry who can help her out. But I will need an NOC from her family to let me complete her treatment and get her a place to stay. It is fine if her son doesn’t want to help her.”
