Paige Sandhu & Harvey Virdi win big at British Soap Awards 2022

British Asian stars Paige Sandhu and Harvey Virdi won huge accolades for their respective work in ‘Emmerdale’ and ‘Hollyoaks’ at the British Soap Awards 2022 on Saturday.

Paige Sandhu walked away with the Best Leading Performer in ‘Emmerdale’. Sandhu played the role of Meena Jutla in the ITV1 soap.

Meanwhile, Harvey Virdi, who is known for playing Misbah Maalik in Channel 4 series ‘Hollyoaks’ was given recognition for Best Storyline, which tracked Misbah’s historic rape ordeal. She also won the ‘Best Scene’ award for ‘Misbah Didn’t Consent’, with co-star Haiesha Mistry (Yasmine Maalik).

‘Emmerdale’ beat other soaps to win the main ‘Best Soap’ title.
