Pahlaj Nihalani will not “deny nor admit” if Govinda is playing Vijay Mallya

After starring in ‘Happy Ending’ in 2014, Govinda is back on the big screen. He will be starring in Pahlaj Nihalani’s ‘Rangeela Raja’. Nihalani, the former Chairman of the ‘Central Board of Film Certification’ will be directing Govinda, where he will reportedly be playing Vijay Mallya, which the director has yet to confirm.

As according to Deccan Chronicle, Nihalani filmed a song sequence with Govinda. He confirmed, saying, “Not the Mallya card, the Mallya calendar. The entire look, feel, appearance and rhythm of the song sequence are based on the Kingfisher calendars. As for Govinda playing Mallya, let’s keep the suspense going. I am neither denying nor admitting it. All I can say is that Govinda plays a man who is the biggest scamster of our times. Need I say more?”

Nihalani had also produced Govinda’s debut film ‘Ilzaam’ in 1986.
