Overnights: ZEE TV’s ‘IPML’ gets off to a good start in UK

ZEE TV made a relatively good start with its new star-studded singing reality show, ‘Indian Pro Music League’ (IPML) on Friday.

According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com, the launch episode of ‘IPML’, which aired at 20:30, was watched by 8,800 viewers – peaking at 17,200 during the course of the show.

Bolllywood superstar, Salman Khan will be seen as the IPML Brand Ambassador on what we can call the biggest musical stages on television.

The League will see six teams supported by Shraddha Kapoor, Govinda, Rajkummar Rao, Riteish Deshmukh & Genelia, Bobby Deol, and Suresh Raina while Asees Kaur, Mika, Akriti Kakar, Shaan, Neha Bhasin, Sajid Wajid, Shilpa Rao, Kailash Kher, Bhoomi Trivedi, Javed Ali, Payal Dev, and Ankit Tiwari have been roped in as team captains.

The show will continue to air Saturday and Sunday nights at 19:00 in the UK.

Despite its decent opening, ZEE TV’s share remained low with 0.02%. Utsav Plus continued to lead with a share of 0.13%, while Sony TV & Colors registered a share of 0.06% and 0.05% respectively. Hum TV also racked up a share of 0.05%.
