Overnights: ZEE TV falls behind &TV on Thursday

A resurgent &TV stepped ahead of flagship channel, ZEE TV in latest UK ratings on Thursday night, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

&TV impressed with ‘Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain’ at 20:30 with 39,400 viewers, followed by ‘Badho Bahu’ at 21:00 with 20,800 viewers, ‘Chupke Chupke’ at 21:30 with 17,700 viewers and ‘Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi’ at 20:00 with 14,900 viewers. Sister channel, ZEE TV, which entered the Sky basic pack this week, was a lot lower overall. Its top rated show on Thursday was ‘Woh Apna Sa’ at 19:30 with 8,100 viewers, followed by ‘Piyaa Albela’ at 20:00 with 5,300 viewers and ‘Kundali Bhagya’ at 21:30 with 3,100 viewers.

Sony Entertainment Television continued to climb in UK ratings with ‘Pehredaar Piya Ki’ on top for the first time with 22,100 viewers at 20:30, followed by ‘Yeh Moh Moh Ke Dhaage’ at 19:00 with 11,800 viewers and ‘Hanuman’ at 20:00 with 11,400 viewers.

Star Plus remained the biggest Asian TV channel in the UK with ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ thrashing all shows. It pulled in 127,000 viewers at 20:30, followed by ‘Tu Sooraj Mein Saanjh Piyaji’ at 19:00 with 102,600 viewers and ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ at 18:30 with 101,300 viewers. ‘Mere Angne Mein’ was fourth with 90,000 viewers and ‘Naamkarann’ at 21:00 with 75,900 viewers. ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon – Season 3’, which led ratings on Wednesday tumbled to 54,300 viewers at 20:00. The top rated afternoon show was ‘Meri Durga’ at 12:30 with 42,700 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Shakti’ was on top with 21,700 viewers, followed by ‘Swabhimaan’ led with 21,400 viewers, ‘Savitri Devi College & Hospital’ at 18:30 with 20,400 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Balika Vadhu’ topped ratings with 27,400 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Kasam’ at 20:30 with 22,700 viewers and ‘Uttaran’ at 18:30 with 22,300 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Aadhi Gawahi’ at 22:00 led with 35,200 viewers, followed by ‘Phir Wohi Mohabbat’ at 20:00 with 34,800 viewers and ‘Mohabbat Mushkil Hai’ repeat at 23:00 with 24,600 viewers.
