Overnights: ZEE Cinema stomps out Sony MAX on Tuesday in UK

With competition between Hindi GECs intensifying in UK ratings, another war between Bollywood movie channels has started.

According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com , ZEE Cinema stomped out rival, Sony MAX in UK ratings on Tuesday. Despite a good line-up of movies that included ‘Lootera’, ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’, ‘Saajan’ and ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’, it was only ‘Krrish’ at 23:00 on Sony MAX that registered a decent enough audience. It clocked up 3,600 viewers – peaking at 17,900 viewers.

In comparison, ZEE Cinema’s screening of ‘Rustom’ at 19:00 did well with 14,100 viewers – peaking at 41,100 viewers, followed by ‘Mr India’ at 08:20 with 8,300 viewers and ‘Sangam’ at 12:05 with 4,800 viewers.
