Overnights: Umang 2015 sparks ratings surge

The star-studded, Umang 2015 event pushed SAB TV to second place on Saturday night in the UK, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

The event, which was attended by the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, was watched by an average 37,900 viewers – peaking at 81,000 viewers. Unlike previously, SAB TV premiered the event in the UK as oppose to sister channel, Sony Entertainment Television Asia. SAB TV has witnessed immense success with its line-up of movies and events.

SAB TV’s big ratings on Saturday put the channel behind Star Plus, which continued to lead the way.
