Overnights: UK 44 surprises with impressive data

BizAsiaLive.com has been reporting UK 44’s impressive start in UK ratings on Wednesday. We look delver further into the data, which BizAsiaLive.com has exclusively got its hands on.

UK 44 started BARB reporting on Wednesday (15th February) and overall the channel has done exceptionally well. It may have received a push from the Pakistan Super League but other day parts where the tournament was not showing, UK 44 still do better than its rivals.

All day data for UK 44 between 06:00 – 02:00 – UK 44 registered an average 3,100 viewers. Its primetime between 19:00 – 23:00 averaged at 6,900 viewers. Its share stood at 0.04% – much higher than its rivals.

Geo News delivered an all day average of 3,100 viewers, while its primetime had an average 4,000 viewers. However, the channel had a larger peak with 25,900 viewers tuning in. Its primetime share stood at 0.04% – same as UK 44.

On Geo Tez, all-day data averaged at 0.2, while its primetime was at 0.3. Its share was at 0%.

Samaa TV did better with 3,200 viewers average for the day, while its primetime clocked up 3,800 viewers. Its primetime share stood at 0.02%.

Dunya News’ all-day average delivered 1,100 viewers, while its primetime slumped to 0.1. Its primetime share stood at 0%.

Reporting on the above, shows no Pakistani news channel in the UK has yet been able to match the success of ARY News. Before it closed down, ARY News had an average 20,000 – 30,000 viewers tuning in daily.
