&TV’s dream-run in UK ratings continued with the telecast of two bumper movies on Boxing Day, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

The first part of ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ released in 2011, registered 32,500 viewers – making it the most watched Bollywood movie on UK Asian television on Saturday. The sequel ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’, which premiered free-to-air for the first time on UK Asian TV pulled in 14,400 viewers at 16:00. Both films starred Kangna Ranaut and R Madhavan. In between both films, the repeat telecast of ‘The Place To Eat’ (London based show) raked in an impressive 28,800 viewers. ‘Shukriya’ at 19:30 pulled in 5,400 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘Mere Angne Mein’ at 17:30 topped ratings with 93,700 viewers, followed by ‘Saathiya’ at 19:00 with 88,600 viewers and ‘Suhani Si Ek Ladki’ at 18:30 with 67,400 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Mohabbat Subh Ka Sitara Hai’ at 21:00 took lead with 61,000 viewers, followed by ‘Gul-e-Rana’ at 20:00 with 56,000 viewers and ‘Tonite with HSY’ at 22:00 with 16,000 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Asia’s Singing Superstar’ led with 12,000 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Maikay Ko Dey Do Sandesh’ at 19:30 with 6,400 viewers and ‘Teri Meri Jori’ at 22:30 with 1,800 viewers. ‘Tera Mera Rishta’ at 20:00 raked in 1,400 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Bigg Boss 9’ was top show with 50,200 viewers, followed by ‘Ishq Ka Rang Safed’ at 20:30 with 47,400 viewers, ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’ at 22:30 with 44,400 viewers and ‘Naagin’ at 19:00 with 27,900 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Thapki’ topped ratings on the channel with 51,700 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Kitani Mohabbat Hai’ at 19:30 with 32,100 viewers and ‘Laado’ at 19:00 with 28,400 viewers. Movie ‘Brothers’ at 21:00 delivered 7,2000 viewers.

On UMP Movies, movie ‘Brothers’ did better than its broadcast on Rishtey in the same time slot with 20,300 viewers.

On SAB TV, movie ‘Dhoom 3’ registered 15,700 viewers, followed by movie ‘Daawat-e-Ishq’ at 20:00 with 8,200 viewers.
