Overnights: &TV topples Star Plus from No.1 on Sunday in UK

As Star Plus continues to struggle on Sundays, rival channels have taken the opportunity to steal the glory. On Sunday, &TV toppled Star Plus from the No.1 position, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

Star Plus’ share stood at 0.07%, compared to &TV, which delivered 0.09%. Star Plus’ biggest show on Sunday was ‘Ikyawann’ repeat at 15:00 with 39,900 viewers, followed by ‘India’s Next Superstars’ at 20:00 with 28,500 viewers and ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ repeat at 16:00 with 24,500 viewers.

&TV’s ratings witnessed a boost on the back of a line-up of Bollywood blockbuster films. The channel recorded its best ratings after a number of quiet months. On Sunday, ‘The Voice India – Kids’ at 19:30 pulled in 21,700 viewers, followed by ‘Golmaal – Fun Unlimited’ at 16:30 with 21,200 viewers and ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’ at 12:30 with 13,600 viewers.

Sony MAX was in third with a share of 0.06%. ‘Sultan’ at 20:00 fetched 18,300 viewers, followed by ‘Hindi Medium’ at 17:00 with 11,200 viewers.

Hum TV was in fourth with a share of 0.05%. Its top performers were ‘Nurpur Ki Rani’ at 21:00 with 26,600 viewers, followed by ‘Tumhari Maryum’ at 20:00 with 23,200 viewers.

Hum Masala grabbed a share of 0.04% with ‘The Kitchen Garden’ at midday raking in 16,600 viewers.

ZEE TV clocked up a share of 0.04% with ‘Rocky & Mayur’s Menu’ at 12:30 pulling in 14,400 viewers, followed by ‘Dance India Dance’ at 20:30 with 11,400 viewers.

Sony Entertainment Television raked in a share of 0.03% with ‘CID’ repeat at 16:00 pulling in 17,100 viewers, followed by ‘Super Dancer’ at 20:00 with 13,800 viewers.

Colors had to settle with a share of 0.02% with ‘Rising Star India’ and ‘Entertainment Ki Raat’ pulling in 8,900 viewers each.
