‘English Vinglish’ on &TV

&TV performed strongly on Saturday across most day-parts, making its the second most watched Asian channel in the UK, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

The channel’s blend of popular movies and regular shows was enough to give the channel an edge over its rivals. The most watched item on the channel was movie ‘English Vinglish’ starring Sridevi at 16:00 with 20,100 viewers – peaking at 42,400 viewers. In second place was ‘India Poochega Sabse Shaana Kaun’ at 19:00 with 16,700 viewers and ‘The Voice India’ at 21:00 with 15,800 viewers. Film ‘Holiday’ starring Akshay Kumar at 22:30 also did well with 13,000 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 was top show with 86,200 viewers, followed by ‘Mere Angne Mein’ at 17:30 with 85,300 viewers and ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ at 21:30 with 74,900 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ at 19:30 was top show with 37,900 viewers, followed by ‘Balika Vadhu’ at 19:00 with 20,700 viewers and ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ at 21:00 with 11,800 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Thapki’ was top with 9,400 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Dariba Diaries’ at 21:00 with 5,900 viewers and Urdu show ‘Nail Polish’ at 19:30 with 5,900 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Mol’ at 20:00 took lead with 43,200 viewers, followed by ‘Yahan Pyar Nahi Hai’ at 21:00 with 42,500 viewers.
