Overnights: &TV inches closer to Star Plus on Saturday in UK

&TV’s strong programming line-up on Saturday was good enough to get it near enough to bump off Star Plus from the No.1 position in UK ratings, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

Star Plus remained the UK’s top Asian TV channel with a share of 0.12%, compared to &TV’s 0.09%. Star Plus’ top performers on Saturday were ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 81,800 viewers, followed by ‘Tu Sooraj Mein Saanjh Piyaji’ at 19:00 with 56,100 viewers and ‘India’s Next Superstars’ at 20:00 with 41,400 viewers.

&TV did well on the back of its Saturday films, which included ‘Raees’ at 21:30 with 28,600 viewers, followed by ‘Welcome Back’ at 13:00 with 16,300 viewers and reality show ‘The Voice India -Kids’ at 19:30 with 17,300 viewers.

Geo TV attracted a share of 0.04% with ‘Mubarak Ho Rishta Naya’ at 18:30 with 17,400 viewers, followed by ‘Khaani’ at 17:30 with 12,400 viewers and ‘Adhoora Bandhan’ at 19:00 with 12,100 viewers.

Colors also raked in a share of 0.04% with ‘Entertainment Ki Raat’ at 22:30 pulling in 19,100 viewers, followed by ‘Rising Star’ at 21:00 with 18,200 viewers and ‘Desi Beat’ at 19:30 with 17,400 viewers.

Sony SAB TV also scored the same share with movie ‘Sarbjit’ pulling in 15,400 viewers.

Sony Entertainment Television’s share stood at 0.03% with ‘Super Dancer’ at 20:00 raking in 13,500 viewers.

ZEE TV’s share slumped to 0.01% with movie ‘Beta’ at 13:00 with 3,800 viewers.
