Overnights: ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ shatters records on Saturday in UK

Sony Entertainment Television’s flagship weekend show ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ shattered ratings records on Saturday in UK, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

The popular comedy show was watched by a humongous 97,600 viewers at 21:30 – making it the highest rated show ever on Sony TV UK. It was also the most watched ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ episode in the history of the show. The show featured veteran Bollywood stars Waheeda Rehman, Helen and Asha Parekh. In further good news for the show, its audience peaked to 117,700 viewers.

Sony TV also did well with its reality dance show ‘Super Dancer – Chapter 3’ pulling in 64,200 viewers at 20:00, followed by the repeat of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ at 23:00 with 16,600 viewers.

Star Gold dominated UK ratings on Saturday with a share of a huge 0.35%, followed by Sony Entertainment Television with 0.22%, Star Plus with 0.11%, Hum TV with 0.10%, Sony MAX and Sony SAB TV with 0.09%, PTC Punjabi with 0.08%, Colors with 0.07%, New Vision TV with 0.06%, Geo TV with 0.05% and ZEE TV with 0.02%.

Star Plus’ biggest attractions were in the afternoon with ‘Dreamgirl’ at 14:00 with 35,000 viewers, followed by ‘Roshni’ at 13:30 with 31,000 viewers and ‘Tamanna’ at 15:00 with 28,400 viewers. Ratings of evening shows were unusually lower than previous weeks with ‘The Voice’ at 20:00 with 17,400 viewers and ‘Divya Drishti’ at 21:30 with 15,200 viewers.

On Hum TV, top attractions were ‘Ranjha Ranjha Kardi’ at 20:00 with 41,800 viewers, followed by ‘Meri Unsuni Kahani’ at 21:00 with 21,500 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Court Room’ was top show at 22:30 with 20,600 viewers, followed by ‘Rising Star’ at 21:00 with 17,000 viewers.

On ZEE TV, ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs’ at 19:30 delivered 16,600 viewers.
