Overnights: ‘Superstar Singer’ gives Sony TV boost on Saturday in UK

Star Plus felt the pinch in UK ratings on Saturday, falling behind major rivals PTC Punjabi, Sony Entertainment Television, Colors and even ZEE TV, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

PTC Punjabi continued to perform strongly and claimed the No.1 position with a share of 0.16%, followed by Sony Entertainment Television with 0.13%, ZEE Cinema with 0.09%, Colors with 0.08%, Star Gold with 0.06%, Geo News with 0.05%, Hum TV, Sony SAB TV and New Vision TV with 0.04%, ZEE TV and BritAsia TV with 0.03%, Star Plus, Geo TV, B4U Music and Venus TV with 0.02%.

Sony TV’s biggest attractions were new show ‘Superstar Singer’ at 20:00, which garnered 43,400 viewers.Its audience peaked further to 53,000 viewers. The show launched last night replacing ‘Super Dancer Chapter 3’, which ended last week. ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ at 21:30 with 33,000 viewers.

On ZEE Cinema, ‘Vishwatma’ was biggest film with 12,300 viewers, followed by ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’ with 8,900 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Dance Deewane’ was watched by 38,700 viewers, followed by ‘Kawach’ at 22:30 with 20,500 viewers and ‘Desi Beat’ at 20:30 with 6,200 viewers. ‘Colors Ke Sang Antakshari Ke Rang’ at 19:30 pulled in 5,900 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Saturday Night Special’ raked in 11,200 viewers at 22:00, followed by ‘Deewar-e-Shab’ at 20:00 with 9,800 viewers.

On ZEE TV, ‘Dance India Dance’ delivered 13,500 viewers at 19:30, followed by movie ‘Alone’ at 21:00 with 4,700 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ re-run was biggest show with 7,600 viewer at 14:30.
