Star Plus’ first primetime sitcom ‘Sumit Sambhal Lega’, which is the Indian adaptation of ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ saw a steady increase in its ratings on Tuesday night, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

The show, which launched on Monday – opened up with around 30,000 viewers in the 21:30 slot and last night doubled its audience with 67,900 viewers tuning in – peaking at 94,100 viewers. It remains to be seen how the show will progress in ratings in the midst of other long running soaps on the channel. The most watched show last night on Star Plus was ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 145,900 viewers, followed by ‘Mere Angne Mein’ at 17:30 with 97,400 viewers and ‘Saathiya’ at 19:00 with 94,200 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Swaragini’ at 21:30 remained top with 58,100 viewers, followed by ‘Code Red’ at 22:00 with 48,700 viewers and ‘Ishq Ka Rang Safed’ at 23:00 repeat with 31,300 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Meri Aashiqui’ at 20:30 pulled in 73,300 viewers, followed by ‘Thapki’ at 20:00 with 44,900 viewers and ‘Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan’ at 21:00 with 28,200 viewers.

On &TV, ‘Begursarai’ at 21:00 took lead with 21,500 viewers, followed by ‘Badii Devrani’ at 21:30 with 13,600 viewers and ‘Gangaa’ at 20:00 with 9,500 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Dayar-e-Dil’ at 20:00 stomped its way to the top with 50,300 viewers, followed by ‘Malaal’ at 21:00 with 40,100 viewers and ‘Muqadas’ at 22:00 with 32,100 viewers.
