Overnights: ‘Sui Dhaaga’ puts Sony MAX at No.1 on Sunday in UK

Sony MAX ruled the movie genre in UK ratings on Sunday, on the back of the repeat of Yash Raj Films’ ‘Sui Dhaaga’, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

The Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma starrer raked in 27,300 viewers at 20:00 – making it the most watched film during the Christmas break. It peaked further to 37,100 viewers. Incidentally, the film’s premiere on Christmas Day failed to garner any big viewership.

Sony MAX was by far the most watched Bollywood movie channel in UK on Sunday with a share of 0.05%, along with ZEE Cinema. The channel’s most watched film was ‘Baharon Ke Sapne’ at 08:30 with 12,600 viewers and ‘Happy New Year’ at 14:30 with 10,400 viewers.

The repeat of ‘Andhadhun’ on Rishtey Cineplex was watched by 11,400 viewers at 22:00. ‘Sarabjit’ on Sony MAX at 20:00 also did well with 10,900 viewers.
