Star Plus had another amazing run in Sunday ratings for the second consecutive week, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.
Over the last few months, Star Plus had witnessed immense competition from Colors on Sundays, however its fortunes turned around last week after the telecast of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. Similarly, this week, the channel’s new Sunday night schedule has worked wonders. Even though the new shows did well, they were still behind the ever dependable fictions. ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 stayed ahead with 162,600 viewers – peaking at 195,600 viewers, followed by ‘Suhani Si Ek Ladki’ at 18:30 with 142,600 viewers and ‘Saathiya’ at 19:00 with 128,100 viewers.
The first episode of ‘Aaj Ki Raat Hai Zindagi’ hosted by Amitabh Bachchan was watched by 65,800 viewers at 20:00 – peaking at 90,400 viewers. Star Plus UK’s first ever Pakistani drama ‘Mera Nam Yousuf Hai’ did marginally better with 68,100 viewers at 22:00. Ratings for both these shows are expected to pick up in weeks to come.
On Colors, ‘Bigg Boss 9’ first eviction of Ankit Gera topped ratings with 46,300 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Indian Television Awards’ at 19:00 with 44,200 viewers and ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ at 22:30 with 26,400 viewers.
On Rishtey, ‘Meri Aashiqui’ led at 20:00 with 18,200 viewers.
On Hum TV, ‘Dastaan’ took back lead with 35,700 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Kaisay Tum Say Kahoon’ at 20:00 with 19,900 viewers and ‘Kitna Sataty Ho’ at 22:00 with 18,500 viewers.
On Geo TV, ‘Maikay Ko De Do Sandesh’ at 19:30 was watched by 32,300 viewers, followed by ‘Ranjish Hi Sahi’ at 20:00 with 20,800 viewers and ‘Bashar Momin’ at 21:00 with 4,100 viewers.
On Zing, ‘Look Who Is Talking With Niranjan’ featuring Ayushmann Khuranna at 19:30 took ratings lead with 12,400 viewers, followed by film ‘Yaadein’ at 20:30 and ‘Bollywood Families’ at 19:00 with 2,600 viewers.
On &TV, classic movie ‘Shaan’ at 15:30 pulled in 16,800 viewers, followed by movie ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ at 12:00 with 9,400 viewers and ‘Deal Or No Deal’ at 20:00 3,400 viewers.
On SAB TV, ‘Police Factory’ raked in 6,200 viewers at 19:00, followed by ‘Indian Super League’ at 14:30 with 4,500 viewers and ‘Comedy Superstar’ at 20:00 with 2,600 viewers. Movie ‘3 Idiots’ at 10:30 registered 2,300 viewers.
