The very popular series ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ registered a huge surge in UK ratings last night, delivering its best ever audience & a huge peak for the channel.

According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia, ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ drew in a massive 280,400 viewers – peaking at 379,100 viewers – the biggest audience for a fiction on the channel for nearly two years. Last night’s episode of ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ witnessed the protagonist Ishita realising she has been possessed by the late Shagun’s spirit.

While, fictions on Star Plus have remained below 200,000 viewers for sometime, this is the first time the show has taken the audience back to nearly 300,000 viewers for a 30-minute capsule. Previously, shows like ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’, ‘Saathiya’ and the defunct ‘Saraswatichandra’ and ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ were examples of huge audiences.

Elsewhere on the channel, ‘Mere Angne Mein’ took second place with 121,300 viewers at 17:30, followed by ‘Saathiya’ at 19:00 with 119,900 viewers and ‘Suhani Si Ek Ladki’ at 18:30 with 113,300 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Bigg Boss 9’ at 21:00 attracted 51,600 viewers, followed by ‘Udaan’ at 20:00 with 37,800 viewers and ‘Ishq Ka Rang Safed’ at 20:30 with 16,700 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Thapki’ scored with 122,900 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘ITA Awards’ at 22:30 with 18,600 viewers and ‘Code Red’ at 21:30 with 4,500 viewers.

On SAB TV, movie ‘Student Of The Year’ at 21:00 pulled in 16,500 viewers, followed by ‘Comedy Superstar’ at 20:00 with 5,200 viewers and ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ at 11:30 with 5,000 viewers. The live broadcast of Indian Super League at 14:20 drew in 2,200 viewers.

On Life Ok, ‘Jeet Sachai Ki – Dussehra Special’ at 19:00 was watched by 12,800 viewers. However, it was ‘Savdhaan India’ at 22:00, which topped the channel’s ratings with 29,000 viewers.

On &TV, ‘Deal Or No Deal’ at 20:00 was watched by 9,600 viewers, followed by ‘Agent Raghav’ at 21:00 with 8,700 viewers and movie ‘Taal’ at midday with 3,400 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Mol’ was watched by 62,100 viewers, followed by ‘Dastaan’ at 21:00 with 59,600 viewers.

On Zing, film ‘Dhadkan’ starring AKshay Kumar was the biggest movie with 60,500 viewers at 20:30.
