Overnights: Star Plus tops Saturday; Star Gold leads on Sunday in UK

Star TV Network dominated UK ratings over the weekend after Star Plus triumphed on Saturday, while Star Gold continued to perform strongly on Sunday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

On Saturday, Star Plus registered a share of 0.13%, followed by Sony Entertainment Television and Colors with 0.12%, PTC Punjabi with 0.10%, Sony SAB TV with 0.07%, Hum TV with 0.06%, ZEE TV, New Vision TV and Sony MAX 2 with 0.04%.

On Sunday, Star Gold’s shot up to 0.22%, followed by PTC Punjabi with 0.16%, Sony TV with 0.13%, Star Plus with 0.10%, Colors with 0.09%, Sony MAX 2 with 0.08%, Hum TV and New Vision TV with 0.05%, Star Bharat with 0.04%, Sony SAB TV and ZEE Cinema with 0.03% and ZEE TV with 0.01%.

The biggest attractions over the weekend included ‘MasterChef India’ on Saturday with a huge 75,500 viewers. Similarly, it was the ratings leader on Sunday with 57,400 viewers. ‘Dance+ 5’ also did well with 43,500 viewers on Saturday and 28,600 viewers on Sunday. The movie ‘Kalank’ on Saturday also rated with good numbers. It was watched by 17,900 viewers.

On Star Gold, India V West Indies cricket scored highly on Sunday with 43,100 viewers for the first part at 07:45 and a further 76,100 viewers at 11:30. The channel’s movie premiere of ‘Chhichhore’ at 21:00 was watched by 10,400 viewers.

On Sony TV, ‘Indian Idol 11’ was most watched show on both Saturday and Sunday with 61,100 viewers and 59,700 viewers respectively. ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ was next with 46,000 viewers on Saturday and 41,900 viewers on Sunday.

On Hum TV, ‘Deewar-e-Shab’ topped ratings on Saturday with 18,500 viewers, while on Sunday ‘Ehd-e-Wafa’ drew 55,200 viewers at 20:00.

On Colors, ‘Bigg Boss 13’ attracted 74,700 viewers on Saturday and 64,100 viewers on Sunday.
