Overnights: Star Plus tops on Wednesday in UK; Republic Bharat impresses


Star Plus extended its lead over rivals on Wednesday, while Republic Bharat dominated the Indian news genre again, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

Star Plus delivered a share of 0.11%, followed by Sony Entertainment Television and New Vision TV with 0.08%, Hum TV with 0.07%, Republic Bharat with 0.05%, ZEE Cinema, ABP News, Colors and Colors Rishtey with 0.04%, Star Gold, Sony SAB TV and Colors Cineplex with 0.03%, Star Bharat, Hum Masala, Dunya News, NDTV 24×7 and ZEE TV with 0.02% and Geo TV with 0.01%.

On Star Plus, ‘Saathiya’ led with 44,300 viewers at 15:30, followed by ‘Mahabharat’ at 18:00 with 40,900 viewers, ‘Ramayan’ at 20:00 with 27,300 viewers, ‘Shree Ganesh’ at 19:00 with 22,500 viewers and ‘Devon Ke Dev Mahadev’ at 21:00 with 19,500 viewers.

On Sony TV, ‘Indian Idol 10’ re-run topped ratings with 30,600 viewers at 18:00, followed by ‘Crime Patrol’ at 23:00 with 23,900 viewers and ‘Zindagi Ke Crossroads’ at 20:00 with 20,200 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Ye Dil Mera’ was most watched show overall with 48,000 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Soteli Maamta’ at 14:30 with 15,800 viewers and ‘Bari Aapa’ at 21:00 with 13,000 viewers.

On Republic Bharat, the channel proved immensely popular between 17:00 and 20:30 with an average audience of 24,000 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Mahabharat’ led with 17,200 viewers at 21:00 and another 15,400 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Shaitaan’ at 23:05 with 10,800 viewers.

On ZEE TV, ‘Happu Ki Ultan Paltan’ was watched by 7,900 viewers at 14:00, followed by ZEE News bulletin at 07:00 with 7,600 viewers and film ‘Humko Tumse Pyaar Hai’ at 09:30 with 5,000 viewers.
