Overnights: Star Plus tops NYE in UK; Sony TV & Colors close behind

Star Plus ended 2020 at No.1 in UK ratings on New Year’s Eve but only marginally, with Sony TV and Colors close behind, according to exclusive data obtained by

Star Plus registered a share of 0.09%, followed by Sony TV and Colors with 0.08%, PTC Punjabi with 0.06%, Aaj Tak with 0.05%, Star Gold and Colors Rishtey with 0.04%, Star Bharat, New Vision TV and ZEE TV with 0.03%, ZEE Cinema, BritAsia TV, Sony SAB TV and Sony MAX with 0.02%, Hum TV with 0.01%. Geo TV slumped to zero.

Star Plus’ top attractions were ‘Anupamaa’ with 122,900 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Yeh Hai Chahatein’ at 19:30 with 56,800 viewers, ‘Ghum Hai Kiskey Pyaar Mein’ at 21:00 with 26,100 viewers, ‘Imlie’ at 22:30 with 24,400 viewers, ‘Saathiya 2’ at 19:00 with 18,500 viewers, ‘Shaurya’ at 18:30 with 15,100 viewers, ‘Shaadi Mubarak’ at 20:30 with 14,000 viewers and ‘Taare Zameen Par’ at 17:30 with 8,700 viewers. ‘Lockdown Ki Love Story’ dropped to zero.

On Sony TV, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 12’ led with 42,800 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Crime Patrol’ at 00:00 and 23:00 with 23,500 viewers and 19,100 viewers respectively.

On Colors, ‘Bigg Boss 14’ attracted 42,500 viewers at 21:30, followed by ‘Choti Sarrdaarni’ at 19:30 with 35,400 viewers, ‘Namak Issk Ka’ at 23:15 with 33,800 viewers, ‘Molkki’ at 20:30 with 31,300 viewers and ‘Shakti’ at 20:00 with 28,700 viewers.

On ZEE TV, ‘Kyun Rishton Mein Katti Batti’ was watched by 12,400 viewers at 18:00, followed by ‘Happu Ki Ultan Paltan’ at 17:00 with 9,500 viewers and ‘Guddan Tumse Na Ho Paayega’ at 18:30 with 9,300 viewers.

On Hum TV, Hum Awards Canada led with 6,400 viewers at 23:00.
