Overnights: Star Plus stronger at top; Hum TV increases in UK

Star Plus remained firmly as the UK’s No.1 Asian TV channel on Wednesday, while Hum TV increased its share significantly, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

Inside the Top 5, Star Plus was the biggest Asian TV broadcaster with a share of 0.20%, followed by New Vision TV with 0.08%, Hum TV and Colors with 0.07% and Sony Entertainment Television with 0.06%. ZEE TV’s share declined to 0.02%.

Star Plus’ biggest attractions were ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ at 18:30 with 90,400 viewers, followed by ‘Mariam Khan’ at 19:00 with 84,700 viewers, ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala’ at 20:30 with 77,300 viewers, ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 70,600 viewers, ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ at 21:00 with 70,000 viewers and ‘Ishqbaaaz’ at 20:00 with 53,800 viewers.

Hum TV performed well on the back of shows ‘Mann Mayal’ at 21:00 with 27,900 viewers, ‘Aik Larki Aam Si’ repeat at 23:00 with 12,400 viewers and ‘Ki Jana Main Kaun’ at 22:00 with 12,200 viewers.

Colors stayed strong with ‘Bigg Boss 12’ on top, pulling in 40,200 viewers, followed by ‘Silsila’ at 22:15 with 32,600 viewers and ‘Dastaan-e-Mohabbat’ at 20:30 with 20,700 viewers.

Sony TV’s top performers were ‘Crime Patrol’ at 23:00 with 23,800 viewers, followed by ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ at 21:00 with 21,000 viewers and ‘Mere Sai’ at 19:00 with 16,000 viewers.

ZEE TV’s lead shows were ‘Guddan’ at 18:00 with 15,600 viewers and ‘Kundali Bhagya’ at 20:30 with 13,200 viewers.
