Overnights: Star Plus stays top; Sony TV jumps

Star Plus remained the most dominant player in UK Asian TV ratings on Monday, while Sony Entertainment Television performed strongly, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

Star Plus delivered a share of 0.24%, followed by Hum Masala and Hum TV with 0.09%, Colors with 0.06% and Sony TV and Star Gold with 0.05%.

Star Plus’ top rated shows on Monday were ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 156,800 viewers, followed by ‘Tu Sooraj Mein Saanjh Piyaji’ at 19:00 with 123,000 viewers and ‘Chakravyuh’ at 20:00 with 96,600 viewers.

Hum Masala led with ‘Mehboob’s Kitchen’ at 18:30 with 38,900 viewers, while Hum TV also did well with ‘Gumrah’ at 22:00 with 28,200 viewers.

Colors stayed strong with ‘Bigg Boss 11’ at 21:00 with 62,700 viewers, followed by ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ at 18:30 with 22,500 viewers and ‘Savitri Devi College & Hospital’ at 19:00 with 20,100 viewers.

Sony TV also performed well with ‘Mere Sai’ getting its biggest ever audience with 42,100 viewers at 19:30. ‘Yeh Un Dino Ki Baat Hai’ at 22:30 attracted 24,100 viewers.

ZEE TV had a share of 0.02% with ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs’ re-run topping ratings at 22:00. It was watched by 7,900 viewers.

&TV’s new primetime schedule proved a disappointment in ratings on Monday with a share of 0%. ‘Krishna’ in its new slot of 18:30 topped ratings with 7,000 viewers.

Star Gold’s top movie was ‘Traffic’ at 18:00 with 16,700 viewers.
