Overnights: Star Plus stays top; Sony TV & Hum TV surge on Monday

Star Plus remained the firm favourite in UK ratings on Monday but it was Sony Entertainment Television, Hum TV and Hum Masala that surprised, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

Star Plus’ share surged to nearly 0.30% on Monday with ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ latest two-year storyline leap proving a ratings success. The show was watched by 168,200 viewers – one of its biggest audience this year. In second place was ‘Chakravyuh’ at 20:00 with 127,300 viewers, ‘Chandra Nandini’ at 20:30 with 102,400 viewers and ‘Naamkarann’ at 21:00 with 89,100 viewers. Earlier in the afternoon, ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ was top show with 51,900 viewers at 14:30.

On Sony TV, the finale of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ at 19:30 with over 50,000 viewers over its two-hour telecast. The channel’s share shot up to 0.08%.

On Hum TV, ‘Shab-e-Zindagi’ at 21:00 pulled in 30,900 viewers, followed by ‘Pagli’ at 20:00 with 21,700 viewers and ‘Gumrah’ at 22:00 with 20,300 viewers.

On Hum Masala, ‘Evening With Shireen’ at 17:00 topped ratings with 27,500 viewers, followed by ‘Mehboob’s Kitchen’ at 18:30 with 24,100 viewers and ‘Main Abdul Qadir Hoon’ at 20:00 with 20,600 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Bigg Boss 11’ attracted 35,500 viewers, followed by ‘Tu Aashiqui’ at 20:30 with 26,600 viewers and ‘Udann’ at 19:00 with 23,800 viewers. New show ‘Laado 2’ raked in 9,800 viewers at 22:00.

On ZEE TV, ‘Piyaa Albela’ at 19:00 fetched 10,200 viewers, followed by ‘ZEE Companion’ at 17:30 with 6,900 viewers and ‘ZEE News’ at 17:00 with 5,400 viewers.

On Zing, ‘Bollywood Ab Tak’ at 18:00 pulled in 7,600 viewers, followed by ‘Dil Hi To Hai’ at 19:30 with 6,400 viewers. ‘Jukebox Live’ in its new slot of 18:30 raked in 4,600 viewers.
