Overnights: Star Plus stays top; ABP News takes No.2

In a number of significant changes in the pecking order of UK Asian TV channels, ABP News and Zing excelled on Wednesday in UK ratings, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

Star Plus stayed as the ultimate leader with ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ drawing a huge audience of 156,200 viewers. It has continued to grow in its 19:30 slot. The channel’s share stood at 0.19%.

Bollywood actress Sridevi’s funeral coverage kept ABP News high, with a share of 0.09%. It was placed at No.2 in overall ratings on Wednesday. Zing was in third place with a share of 0.08% with its entertainment reports based on Sridevi in early morning shows.

B4U Movies also surged with a share of 0.07% with movie ‘Blackmail’ at 08:00 attracting 20,900 viewers.

Prime TV remained by far the biggest broadcaster for the Pakistan Super League 2018. Its coverage of Quetta Gladiators’s win was watched by around 18,000 viewers, compared to 8,500 viewers for Hum Masala. Prime TV has done incredibly well this year with its Pakistan Super League telecast.

ZEE TV, Colors and Sony Entertainment Television all delivered a share of 0.03%.
