Overnights: Star Plus stays strong on top; ZEE TV climbs

Star Plus remained strong as the UK’s No.1 Asian TV channel on Thursday, while ZEE TV showed signs of further growth, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

Star Plus’ share stood at 0.23% with ‘Tu Sooraj Mein Saanjh Piyaji’ at 19:00 clocking up 104,400 viewers, followed by ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 101,100 viewers, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ at 18:00 with 80,400 viewers and ‘Chakravyuh’ at 20:00 with 80,300 viewers.

Hum TV also did well at No.2 with a share of 0.10%. Its top rated shows were ‘Daldal’ at 20:00 with 39,400 viewers, followed by ‘Mein Maa Nahi Bana Chahti Hoon’ at 22:00 with 38,200 viewers and ‘Mere Meherbaan’ at 21:00 with 36,500 viewers.

Hum Masala delivered a share of 0.06% with ‘Handi’ at 10:00 pulling in 28,900 viewers.

Geo News increased its share to 0.04% with ‘Mubarak Ho Rishta Naya’ at 23:00 leading with 23,200 viewers, followed by ‘Ghutan’ at 23:30 with 19,300 viewers and a further 8,700 viewers for its original telecast at 17:30.

ZEE TV upped its share to 0.04% with ‘Kundali Bhagya’ repeat at 11:00 leading with 16,900 viewers, followed by ‘Jeet Gayi Toh Piya Morey’ at 22:00 with 16,400 viewers and ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ repeat at 10:30 with 15,800 viewers.

Colors managed to rake in a share of 0.02% with ‘Tu Aashiqui’ bringing in 26,100 viewers at 20:30. New show ‘Belan Wali Bahu’ repeat at 23:00 remained low with 1,700 viewers.

Sony Entertainment Television could only manage a share of 0.01%.

Urdu 1 Europe also clocked up a share of 0.01%.
