Overnights: Star Plus & Star Bharat surge on Wednesday in UK

Star Plus consolidated its position as the UK’s No.1 Asian TV channel, while sister channel, Star Bharat got one of its best ever ratings, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

Star Plus’ share increased to 0.24%, followed by Star Bharat with 0.07%, Hum TV with 0.06%, Hum Masala with 0.06% and ZEE Cinema with 0.05%.

Star Plus’ top rated shows on Wednesday were ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 145,100 viewers, followed by ‘Tu Sooraj Mein Saanjh Piyaji’ at 19:00 with 136,300 viewers, ‘Meri Durga’ at 18:30 with 101,700 viewers and ‘Naamkarann’ at 21:00 with 91,500 viewers.

Star Bharat got one of its biggest ratings since it launched. Its show ‘Savdhaan India’ repeat at 08:00 was watched by 36,300 viewers, followed by ‘Kya Haal Mr Panchaal’ at 20:00 with 26,800 viewers and ‘Jiji Maa’ at 19:30 with 26,100 viewers.

Hum TV was next with ‘Mere Meherbaan’ leading with 37,100 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Mein Maa Nahi Bana Chahti Hoon’ at 22:00 with 35,100 viewers and ‘Dar Si Jati Hai Sila’ at 20:00 with 23,600 viewers.

ZEE Cinema also did well with repeat of ZEE Cine Awards 2018 attracted 11,200 viewers, followed by ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ at 08:30 with 8,800 viewers.

Geo TV’s share stood at 0.03% with ‘Bedardi Saiyaan’ at 21:00 pulling in 9,300 viewers.

ZEE TV remained at a share of 0.03% with ‘Piyaa Albela’ registering its biggest audience. It was watched by 44,900 viewers at 19:30, followed by ‘Zindagi Ki Mehek’ at 18:30 with 17,800 viewers.

Colors got a share of 0.02% with ‘Tu Aashiqui’ leading with 8,900 viewers at 20:30.

Sony Entertainment Television slumped to 0.01% with ‘Mere Sai’ at 19:30 delivering 12,800 viewers.
