Overnights: Star Plus roars back to No.1 on Monday despite strong rivals

Star Plus roared back to No.1 in UK ratings on Monday despite strong opposition from ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 12’ and ‘Bigg Boss 14′, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

Star Plus surged ahead with one of its biggest shares in a long time. The channel clocked up a share of 0.20%, followed by Colors with 0.11%, Sony TV with 0.09%, Republic Bharat with 0.07%, ZEE Cinema, PTC Punjabi and Geo TV with 0.04%, Sony SAB TV, Foodxp and ARY Family with 0.03%, Hum TV, Star Bharat, Star Gold, Sony MAX 2, B4U Movies, NDTV 24×7, Kanshi TV and Colors Rishtey with 0.02% and ZEE TV, New Vision TV and Geo News with 0.01%.

Star Plus’ top attractions were ‘Anupamaa’ with 117,900 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Shaadi Mubarak’ at 20:30 with 63,100 viewers, the new series ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein’ at 21:00 fetched 57,200 viewers, ‘Yeh Hai Chahatein’ at 19:30 with 40,000 viewers, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ at 21:30 with 38,100 viewers, ‘Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke’ at 19:00 with 26,400 viewers, ‘Lockdown Ki Love Story’ at 18:30 with 11,000 viewers and ‘Yehh Jadu Hai Jinn Ka’ at 22:00 with 8,000 viewers. Repeats of ‘Anupamaa’ and ‘Yeh Hai Chahatein’ earlier in the evening also did well.

On Sony TV, ‘Indiawaali Ma’ led with 42,800 viewers at 20:30, followed by ‘Mere Dad Ki Dulhan’ at 21:30 with 36,300 viewers and ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 12’ at 21:00 with 34,400 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Bigg Boss 14’ dropped further to 21,800 viewers at 21:30. This was the third consecutive drop for ‘Bigg Boss 14’ since it started on Saturday. It started off with 87,800 viewers, then fell to 46,400 viewers on Saturday. Now its audience has halved again. ‘Choti Sarrdaarni’ led with 27,000 viewers and ‘Shakti’ repeat at 23:30 with 22,000 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Muqaddar’ was top show with 28,300 viewers at 20:00.

On Hum TV, ‘Na Laaiq’ led with 8,300 viewers at 19:30.

On ARY Family, ‘Good Morning Pakistan’ delivered 20,600 viewers.

On ZEE TV, ‘Jodha Akbar’ was top with 6,500 viewers at 20:00.
