Overnights: Star Plus rises on Wednesday; Hum TV & ZEE TV share No.2


Star Plus extended its lead over rivals in UK ratings on Wednesday, while Hum TV and ZEE TV were placed jointly at No.2, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

Star Plus’ share increased to 0.22% with ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala’ at 20:30 topping the ratings chart. It was watched by 113,200 viewers. ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ was in second place with 103,000 viewers and ‘Ishqbaaaz’ at 20:00 with 69,600 viewers. ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ at 18:00 pulled in 64,400 viewers.

Hum TV registered a share of 0.07% with ‘Adhan-e-Isha’ at 22:30 raking in 30,800 viewers, followed by ‘Kankar’ at 21:30 with 27,100 viewers.

ZEE TV’s share accelerated to 0.07% with ‘Woh Apna Sa’ on top with 20,800 viewers, followed by ‘Piyaa Albela’ at 19:00 with 18,700 viewers and ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ at 20:00 with 17,500 viewers.

BritAsia TV also performed stronger than previously with a share of 0.07%. Its 11:00 – 14:30 band averaged with 21,000 viewers with ‘Takeover – Diljit Dosanjh’, ‘Movie Melodies’, ‘Midday Shuffle’ and ‘Trending Hits’ top shows.

Hum Masala was next with a share of 0.06%, followed by Rishtey with 0.04%.

Sony Entertainment Television, Colors and Geo TV clocked up a share of 0.02%.
