'Pyar Ka Dard...' tops New Years Day ratings

On Christmas Day, Star Plus won the battle with eight out of ten most watched shows, BizAsia now turns the attention on New Years Day and it looks like Star Plus has done it again by notching up all TEN slots. Surprisingly, repeats of two shows also made it inside the Top 10 beating contenders on rival channels.

According to exclusive UK viewing data obtained by BizAsia from Attentional, ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyara Pyara’ maintained its lead on Star Plus with a whopping 212,100 – peaking at 255,200.

Meanwhile, the worst performance on Star Plus was given by ‘Kaali Ek PunarAvtar’ with just 71,600 tuning in last night.

Elsewhere, Zing’s tweaked programming with shows away from playlisted music got decent consistent viewership. ‘World Of Bollywood’ at 18:00 got the channel an audience of 27,600, ‘Bollywood Business’ at 18:30 24,600, ‘Ten On Ten’ at 27,400 and the re-run of locally produced show ‘Rock The Vibe’ at 19:30 got the channel an audience of 23,900.
