Overnights: Star Plus plummets; ARY Family disappoints

Star Plus registered one of its lowest Thursday UK ratings, while ARY Family continued to disappoint, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

Star Plus’ share has been dwindling since the start of this year and yesterday dropped to 0.11%. The biggest show on the channel was ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 73,300 viewers, followed by ‘Dil Sambhal Ja Zara’ at 22:00 with 72,800 viewers, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ at 18:00 with 43,600 viewers and ‘Chakravyuh’ at 20:00 with 24,900 viewers.

ARY Family, which started BARB reporting this week was down from 0.002% to just 0.001%. The channel’s low ratings have no doubt shocked a few in the industry. Its rivals, Hum TV, Hum Masala and Geo TV continued to dominate.

Hum TV scored a share of 0.06% with ‘Mein Maa Nahi Bana Chahti Hoon’ leading. It was watched by 39,400 viewers at 22:00, followed by ‘Daldal’ at 20:00 with 20,900 viewers and ‘Thori Si Wafa’ at 19:30 with 15,900 viewers.

Hum Masala’s share dropped to 0.01%, while Geo TV was up slightly to 0.02%. Its top rated show was ‘Bedardi Saiyan’ at 16:30 with 5,100 viewers.

Colors delivered a share of 0.04% with ‘Bigg Boss 11’ staying strong. It was watched by 42,000 viewers, followed by ‘Tu Aashiqui’ at 20:30 with 18,200 viewers.

Sony Entertainment Television was up with a share of 0.03%. Its top shows were ‘Mere Sai’ at 19:30 with 29,500 viewers, followed by ‘Haasil’ at 21:30 with 18,600 viewers and ‘Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya’ at 21:00 with 17,800 viewers.

ZEE TV was up too with a share of 0.02%. Its top show was ‘Aisi Deewangi’ at 21:30 with 18,600 viewers, followed by ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ re-run at 22:00 with 12,700 viewers.

Sony MAX was the biggest movie channel with a share of 0.04%. Its top movies were ‘Kashmir Ki Kali’ at 20:00 with 13,800 viewers, followed by ‘Khoon Bhari Maang’ at 11:45 with 6,900 viewers.
