Despite growing competition, Star Plus has managed to climb further in latest weekly reach data from BARB for week ending Sunday 5th November.
Star Plus jumped back to one of its best weekly reach numbers in a long time. The channel delivered a reach of 893,000 viewers (up from 744,000 viewers). It will be interesting to see if Star Plus will be able to touch the dizzy heights of 1 million reach, like it did this time last year.
Following on from Star Plus were Colors with 459,000 viewers, Sony Entertainment Television with 401,000 viewers, Hum TV with 339,000 viewers, Star Bharat with 291,000 viewers, ZEE TV with 283,000 viewers, Sony SAB TV with 277,000 viewers, Rishtey with 254,000 viewers, &TV with 234,000 viewers, PTC Punjabi with 225,000 viewers and Hum Masala with 209,000 viewers.
The next tier consisted of Akaal Channel with 193,000 viewers, followed by Zing with 186,000 viewers, Prime TV with 133,000 viewers, Geo TV with 130,000 viewers, ATN Bangla with 125,000 viewers, ZEE Punjabi with 109,000 viewers, Venus TV with 91,000 viewers, PTV Global with 88,000 viewers, Star Utsav with 85,000 viewers, Geo Kahani with 80,000 viewers, Urdu 1 Europe with 26,000 viewers and A Plus Europe with 17,000 viewers.
Rishtey Cineplex took the No.1 spot in Asian film genre with 394,000 viewers, followed by Sony MAX with 343,000 viewers, Star Gold with 376,000 viewers, B4U Movies with 334,000 viewers and ZEE Cinema with 292,000 viewers.
B4U Music stayed on top with 225,000 viewers, followed by MTV Beats with 133,000 viewers, Sony Mix with 103,000 viewers and Brit Asia TV with 76,000 viewers.
Geo News topped ratings with 196,000 viewers, followed by New Vision TV with 192,000 viewers, Aaj Tak with 162,000 viewers, NDTV 24×7 with 152,000 viewers and ABP News with 146,000 viewers. Samaa TV was next with 114,000 viewers, followed by Times Now with 81,000 viewers, UK 44 with 72,000 viewers and News18 with 17,000 viewers.
