Star Plus’ new fiction ‘Naamkarann’ made a good start in UK ratings last night, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

The huge show produced by Mahesh Bhatt, replaced the long running series ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ in the 21:00 slot. The first episode lasted 45 minutes and was watched by 70,800 viewers – peaking at 83,700 viewers. It is expected to pick up as the story of the show progresses. ‘Naamkarann’ was behind channel leader ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’, which garnered 123,500 viewers, followed by ‘Saathiya’ at 19:00 with 99,900 viewers, ‘Mere Angne Mein’ at 18:00 with 91,800 viewers, ‘Siya Ke Ram’ at 20:00 with 87,000 viewers and ‘Suhani Si Ek Ladki’ at 18:30 with 77,600 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Krishndasi’ at 22:15 fetched 4,700 viewers, followed by ‘Swaragini’ at 21:45 with 3,600 viewers and ‘Shakti’ at 20:00 with 3,000 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Bandini’ stayed on top with 19,000 viewers at 21:30, followed by ‘Thapki’ at 20:00 with 17,600 viewers and ‘Uttaran’ at 18:30 with 16,600 viewers.

On &TV, ‘Tere Bin’ repeat at 00:30 pulled in 42,400 viewers, followed by ‘Gangaa’ at 20:00 with 13,500 viewers and ‘Waaris’ at 19:00 with 2,600 viewers. New fiction ‘Badho Bahu’ at 21:00 could only bring in 1,100 viewers to the channel.

On Hum TV, Eid specials dominated the channel with ‘Dil Wali Dulha Layge’ at 21:00 pulled in 17,600 viewers, followed by ‘Ban Gaya Bakra’ at 19:00 with 14,400 viewers and ‘Sanam’ at 20:00 with 11,400 viewers.

On Geo TV, Eid special ‘Zamani Manzil Kay Maskharay’ at 21:00 fetched 2,900 viewers, followed by ‘Meri Saheli Meri Bhabhi’ at 19:30 with 1,600 viewers and ‘Mera Dard Bayzuban’ at 19:00 with 1,000 viewers.
