Overnights: Star Plus leads Wednesday; Prime TV stays strong

Star Plus remained the biggest player amongst Asian TV channels in the UK on Wednesday, with ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ proving the biggest draw amongst shows, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

Star Plus’ share stood at 0.18% with ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ being watched by 94,000 viewers at 18:30, followed by ‘Krishna Chali London’ at 21:00 with 69,000 viewers, ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 60,200 viewers, ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala’ at 20:30 with 54,900 viewers, ‘Mariam Khan’ at 19:00 with 52,600 viewers and ‘Ishqbaaaz’ at 20:00 with 48,600 viewers.

Prime TV stayed at No.2 with its strong Eid line-up of shows. The channel registered a share of 0.10%. The channel’s 15:00 – 18:00 band averaged with the highest on the channel with 16,100 viewers.

Geo TV was placed at No.3 with a share of 0.09%. The channel’s biggest offerings were ‘Mera Khuda Janay’ repeat at midnight with 48,500 viewers, followed by ‘Babul Ka Angna’ at 23:00 with 38,900 viewers.

Sony Entertainment Television delivered a share of 0.05% with ‘Dil Hi Toh Hai’ topping ratings with 23,500 viewers, followed by ‘Mere Sai’ with 12,900 viewers and ‘Zindagi Ke Crossroads’ with 12,200 viewers.

Hum TV attracted a share of 0.04% with ‘Aik Chance Pyaar Ka’ being watched by 9,900 viewers and movie ‘Chupan Chupai’ pulled in 5,500 viewers.

ZEE TV and Colors fetched a share of 0.03% with ‘Zindagi Ke Mehek’ at 18:30 raking in 24,000 viewers and ‘Kaleerein’ at 18:00 with 19,200 viewers on ZEE TV. On Colors, ‘Bepannaah’ pulled in 19,100 viewers.
