Despite most Asian TV channels witnessing a decline in viewership on the first day of Ramadan on Thursday, Star Plus stayed miles ahead of its rivals.

According to exclusive data obtained bu BizAsia, ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ was top show with 121,300 viewers, followed by ‘Saathiya’ at 19:00 with 93,500 viewers and ‘Suhani Si Ek Ladki’ at 18:30 with 72,100 viewers. ‘Tu Mera Hero’ continued to under-perform with just 30,300 viewers tuning in at 20:00.

On Colors, ‘Code Red’ stayed top with 36,400 viewers at 22:00, followed by ‘Udaan’ at 23:00 with 20,400 viewers and ‘Shastri Sisters’ at 23:30 with 18,400 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Thapki Pyar Ki’ at 20:00 was watched by 34,200 viewers, followed by ‘Meri Aashiqui’ at 20:30 with 27,700 viewers and ‘Laagi Tujhse Lagan’ at 19:30 with 15,400 viewers.

On &TV, ‘Gangaa’ ruled the ratings with 26,800 viewers, followed by ‘Badii Devrani’ at 21:30 with 13,200 viewers and ‘Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain’ at 20:30 with 12,700 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Muqadas’ at 22:00 was top with 28,200 viewers, followed by ‘Aye Zindagi’ with 13,200 viewers and ‘Qaid-e-Tanhai’ at 21:00 with 8,800 viewers.
