Overnights: Star Plus falls behind rivals; Geo News takes No.1 spot

Geo News emerged as the No.1 Asian TV channel on Sunday, leaving Star Plus behind its rivals, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

Star Plus’ weekend woes continued with a share of just 0.03% – a record low for the channel. Its weekend show ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’ at 20:00 crashed to a new low with just an average 300 viewers tuning. ‘Dance Champions’ was the biggest show on the channel with 22,100 viewers at 21:00.

Geo News became the UK’s top channel of choice on Sunday with a share of 0.09%. Its top show was ‘Jirga’ at 17:15 with 29,400 viewers, followed by ‘Khabarnak’ at 18:15 with 26,500 viewers and ‘Laikin’ at 18:15 with 18,400 viewers.

On Star Gold, ‘Road To Sangam’ at 14:15 delivered 6,700 viewers, while on ZEE Cinema, the movie ‘Provoked’ led with 35,400 viewers at 20:30. The channel’s stood at 0.06%.

On Colors, ‘Bigg Boss 11’ attracted 48,000 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Desi Beat’ with 44,300 viewers and ‘Chandrakanta’ at 20:00 with 30,300 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘To Dil Ka Kia Hua’ at 22:00 raked in 27,300 viewers, followed by ‘Tumhari Maryum’ at 20:00 with 21,100 viewers and ‘La Hasil’ at 21:00 with 19,100 viewers.

Sony Entertainment Television clocked up 0.04%, while ZEE TV was behind with 0.02%.

Aaj Tak also did well with 0.05% share.
