Overnights: Star Plus falls behind Hum TV & Sony TV on Friday

Star Plus’ share continued to take a tumble in UK ratings, with Hum TV and Sony Entertainment Television taking advantage of its downfall on Friday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

Star Plus delivered a measly share of 0.07%, on par with Rishtey, which also stood at 0.07%. Hum TV remained the top Asian channel with a share of 0.10% and Sony TV in second place with a share of 0.08%.

In further shocking news for Star Plus, its key prime time shows took a dive in ratings with ‘Ishqbaaaz’ pulling in just 2,900 viewers at 20:00 and ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ at 18:30 with 5,800 viewers. The figures were the lowest in a long time for Star Plus’ weekday fictions. Its top performers also witnessed a dent in ratings with flagship show ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ pulling in 41,600 viewers, followed by ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala’ at 20:30 with 34,500 viewers and ‘Mariam Khan’ at 19:00 with 28,800 viewers.

Hum TV’s strong presence in UK ratings continued with ‘Adhan-e-Isha’ in the lead spot with 71,800 viewers, followed by ‘Mausam’ at 21:30 with 63,500 viewers and ‘Suno Chanda’ at 18:00 with 22,100 viewers.

New Vision TV was biggest South Asian news channel with a share of 0.04%.

ARY Family, Colors and ZEE TV drew a share of 0.02%.
