The marathon five-hour run of Star Guild Awards on Star Plus last night won the ratings battle in the UK, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

Coverage of the Salman Khan hosted Bollywood awards event started at 19:00 with the Red Carpet special – attracting 100,900 viewers, followed by the Main Event at 20:00 with 183,800 viewers – peaking at 281,300. The behind-the-scenes special at 23:00 pulled a further 86,700.

Overall, the channel’s average audience between 19:00 and midnight last night was 147,800.

The UK TV Premiere of ‘Table No.21’ on Rishtey pulled in 38,200 viewers – peaking at 79,300 viewers. In film was aired between 17:30 and 19:40. The comedy show ‘Nautanki – The Comedy Theatre’ attracted 5,200 viewers. Pakistani drama ‘Humsafar’ got 25,300 viewers at 20:30. ‘Shaitaan’ at 21:30 averaged at 13,300 viewers.

The second episode of ‘Goodness Gracious Me’ at 20:30 on Sony SAB could only manage 7,900 viewers.
