Overnights: Star Gold strikes gold with ‘Sholay’

It remains one of Bollywood’s most successful films ever and yesterday ‘Sholay’ proved a huge success on Star Gold, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

The blockbuster movie was watched by an impressive 54,000 viewers – peaking at 94,800 viewers between 16:00 and 20:00. ‘Singham’ at 20:00 was watched by 29,000 viewers.

On sister channel, Star Plus, the repeat telecast of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ did equally well with a huge 44,800 viewers tuning in at 21:00. ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ remained the nation’s favourite show with 129,400 viewers at 19:30, followed by ‘Mere Angne Mein’ at 18:00 with 100,000 viewers and ‘Dance+ 2’ at 20:00 with 81,900 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Udann’ at 18:30 fetched 15,200 viewers, followed by ’24 India’ at 21:30 with 13,300 viewers and ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ at 20:00 with 12,700 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Madhubala’ at 19:30 delivered 21,900 viewers, followed by ‘Phulwa’ at 19:00 with 15,400 viewers and ‘Uttaran’ at 18:30 with 14,600 viewers.

On &TV, ‘The Voice India – Kids’ at 20:00 delivered 43,000 viewers, followed by movie ‘Jazbaa’ at 12:00 with 23,100 viewers and movie ‘Teri Meri Kahani’ at 21:30 with 20,200 viewers. ‘The Place To Eat’ at 19:00 pulled in 18,700 viewers.

On SAB TV, ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ at 17:00 raked in 12,500 viewers, followed by ‘Umang 2016’ with 11,300 viewers and ‘Hum Tum’ at 14:00 with 6,000 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Udaari’ dropped to 19,500 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Maat’ at 21:00 with 13,400 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘The Sportsman Show’ at 22:00 attracted 6,700 viewers, followed by ‘Kahan Tum Chalay Gaye’ at 19:00 with 3,900 viewers and ‘Mor Mahal’ at 20:00 with 2,600 viewers.
