Overnights: Sridevi movies give Sony MAX 2 surge on Tuesday in UK

Sony MAX 2 and ZEE Cinema jointly shared the No.1 position in the UK’s movie genre on Tuesday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

The two channels delivered a share of 0.06%, putting them behind Star Plus (0.13%), Sony TV (0.09%) and Hum TV (0.08%) in overall ratings. Others in the movie genre were Sony MAX with 0.03%, Colors Cineplex with 0.02%, B4U Movies and Star Gold with 0.01%.

Sony MAX 2, which had a special line-up of films to coincide with Sridevi’s 56th birth anniversay, proved popular. Its biggest movies were ‘Chandni’ with 22,200 viewers, followed by ‘Lamhe’ at 22:30 with 1,800 viewers.

On ZEE Cinema, ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ was watched by 11,300 viewers, followed by ‘Bobby’ with 6,100 viewers.
