Overnights: Sony TV stays top; ZEE TV slumps on Sunday in UK

Sony Entertainment Television remained the UK’s most watched Asian TV channel at the weekend by leading in Sunday UK ratings, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

In a lacklustre Sunday performance for Asian TV channels in UK ratings, Sony TV was the preferred choice with a share of 0.08%, while other big giants also faced stiff competition. Star Plus’ share was at 0.04%, Colors with 0.02% and ZEE TV, Star Gold, Zing and ARY Family rated zero.

In terms of programming, ‘Indian Idol 10’ on Sony TV was the biggest show with 30,000 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Dus Ka Dum’ repeat at 17:30 with 27,900 viewers and ‘Dus Ka Dum’ final episode at 21:30 with 23,800 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Dastaan’ at 21:00 was top show with 20,200 viewers, followed by ‘Ishq Tamasha’ with 12,700 viewers at 20:00.

On Star Plus, ‘Qayamat Ki Raat’ was watched by 21,700 viewers, followed by ‘Food Food Maha Challenge’ first episode at 19:00 with 17,500 viewers and ‘Dil Hai Hindustani’ at 20:00 with 12,900 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Strictly Street’ at 12:30 was top show with 14,000 viewers, followed by ‘Kaun Hai’ with 3,700 viewers. ‘Disco Deewane’ pulled in just 1,300 viewers.

On ZEE TV, ‘India’s Best Dramebaaz’ at 20:00 raked in 1,500 viewers, while big films ‘Mom’ and ‘Secret Superstar’ registered a zero rating.
