Overnights: Sony TV & Sony MAX rule UK on Saturday

Sony Entertainment Television was by far the most watched Asian TV broadcaster on Saturday, while sister channel, Sony MAX witnessed a surge at No.2, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

Sony TV registered a share 0.13%, followed by Sony MAX with 0.10%, Star Gold and PTC Punjabi with 0.09%, Hum TV with 0.07%, B4U Music with 0.06%, Star Plus and New Vision TV with 0.05%, Prime TV with 0.04%, Star Bharat, Colors, ZEE TV, B4U Movies, Sony MAX 2 and Geo TV with 0.03%.

Sony TV’s biggest attractions on Saturday were ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ at 21:30 with 48,000 viewers, followed by ‘Superstar Singer’ at 20:00 with 37,000 viewers and ‘Crime Patrol’ at 15:30 with 11,700 viewers.

On Sony MAX, the premiere of ‘Kabir Singh’ was watched by 14,400 viewers. Live cricket between Pakistan and Sri Lanka was watched by 16,700 viewers for the first part and a further 27,400 viewers for the second.

On Star Gold, the premiere of ‘Super 30’ pulled in 12,200 viewers at 21:00. Earlier in the day, live cricket between India and South Africa was watched by 12,800 viewers for the first segment and a further 22,900 viewers for the second.

On Star Plus, ‘Nach Baliye 9’ topped ratings with 11,600 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Maha Episode’ at 19:00 with 11,400 viewers and ‘Divya Drishti’ at 21:30 with 9,300 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Deewar-e-Shab’ was top show with 25,100 viewers. ‘Jaal’ repeat was watched by 16,000 viewers at 14:00.

On Colors, ‘Bigg Boss 13 Weekend Ka Vaar’ proved less popular with just 22,000 viewers.

On ZEE TV, ‘Happu Ki Ultan Paltan’ raked in 11,900 viewers at 17:30 and ‘Movie Masti with Maniesh Paul’ launched with just 5,300 viewers at 19:30.
