Overnights: Sony TV reigns at No.1; Hum TV & PTC Punjabi impress at weekend

After its lead on Friday, Sony Entertainment Television stayed firm at No.1 on both Saturday and Sunday in UK ratings, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

Sony TV was by far the biggest Asian TV broadcaster on Saturday with a share of 0.16% and 0.12% on Sunday. Hum TV also performed exceptionally well with 0.09% on both days. PTC Punjabi registered 0.09% on Saturday and 0.10% on Sunday.

Top attractions on Sony TV were ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ at 21:30 and ‘Superstar Singer’ at 20:00 with 43,400 viewers and 42,700 viewers respectively on Saturday. On Sunday, ‘Superstar Singer’ won 49,200 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ at 21:30 with 38,500 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Shanakht’ was top show on Saturday with 47,300 viewers, followed by ‘Deewar-e-Shab’ at 20:00 with 37,600 viewers. On Sunday, ‘Shanakht’ pulled in 25,800 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Ishq Zeh-e-Naseeb’ at 22:00 with 18,000 viewers and ‘Anaa’ at 20:00 with 15,300 viewers.

On ZEE Cinema, ‘The Big Premiere’ of ‘Manmarziyaan’ on Sunday fetched 5,100 viewers at 18:00.
