Overnights: Sony TV overtakes Star Plus on Friday in rare weekday victory

Sony Entertainment Television overtook Star Plus in UK ratings on Friday, in a rare victory on a weekday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

Star Plus’ share slipped to just 0.09%, while Sony TV surged to 0.11%. Sony TV made an impact with ‘Ladies Special’ at 21:30 with 44,200 viewers, followed by ‘Mere Sai’ at 19:00 with 42,700 viewers, ‘Patiala Babes’ at 21:00 with 38,900 viewers, ‘Crime Patrol’ at 22:00 with 37,500 viewers and ‘Best of Crime Patrol’ at 23:00 with 30,900 viewers.

Star Plus’ most popular shows were ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala’ at 20:30 with 51,100 viewers, followed by ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ at 21:00 with 40,400 viewers, ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 36,700 viewers, ‘Mariam Khan’ at 19:00 with 29,400 viewers, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ at 18:30 with 21,600 viewers, ‘Krishna Chali London’ at 18:00 with 15,700 viewers and ‘Ishqbaaz Dhinchak’ at 20:00 with 14,200 viewers.

Dunya News’ share was at 0.05% putting it in third place with ‘News’ and ‘Hasb-e-Haal’ at 18:00 attracting 19,500 viewers and 19,800 viewers respectively.

Geo TV, New Vision TV, Colors and Sony MAX registered a share of 0.04%. Colors biggest show was ‘Bigg Boss 12’ at 21:00 with 34,100 viewers, while ‘Noor Bibi’ at 20:00 with 14,500 viewers.

Hum TV’s share was at 0.03% with ‘Band Khirikiyan’ at 21:00 delivering 15,800 viewers.

ZEE TV’s share was at 0.02% with ‘Guddan’ pulling in 16,900 viewers at 18:00, followed by ‘Tujhse Hai Raabta’ at 19:00 with 11,100 viewers.
