Overnights: Sony TV clinches lead on Saturday in UK

Sony Entertainment Television was the UK’s most watched Asian TV channel on Saturday, beating all rival channels, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

Sony TV’s share stood at 0.8%, followed by New Vision TV with 0.07%, Hum TV with 0.05%, Star Plus, ZEE TV, Hum Masala, Aaj Tak and Sony MAX with 0.04%, Colors, Colors Cineplex and PTC Punjabi with 0.03% and B4U Movies, Star Bharat, ZEE Cinema and Venus TV with 0.02%. Geo TV garnered just 0.01% share.

Sony TV’s top attractions were ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ at 21:30 with 22,800 viewers, followed by the repeat at 23:00 with 17,100 viewers and ‘Crime Patrol’ at 00:30 with 12,700 viewers. Earlier in the evening, new show ‘Singing Superstar’ dropped to just 4,400 viewers at 20:00.

On Hum TV, ‘Deewar-e-Shab’ drew 18,700 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Madiha Maliha’ at 21:00 with 13,800 viewers and ‘Choti Choti Baatein’ at 19:00 with 8,800 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘Ajab Parivaar Ke Gazab Awards’ at 20:00 was watched by 18,100 viewers. The evening shows ‘Divya Drishti’ at 21:00 and ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’ at 22:00 raked in 5,600 viewers and 5,800 viewers respectively.

On ZEE TV, ‘Out & About’ led with 16,100 viewers at 18:00, followed by ‘Dance India Dance’ with 8,900 viewers and ‘Aghori’ launched with 8,800 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Dance Deewane’ topped ratings with 19,500 viewers, followed by ‘Desi Beat’ at 19:30 with 11,100 viewers.
