Overnights: Sony TV annihilates rivals on Saturday in UK


Sony Entertainment Television sprung a surprise in UK ratings on Saturday, with a huge lead over its rivals, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

Sony TV delivered one of its biggest ever shares and its largest since the end of the very popular ‘Indian Idol 10’ series. As well as its primetime shows, Sony TV’s surge was also down to the repeat of Filmfare Awards. Top performers on the channel were ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ at 21:30 with 47,000 viewers, followed by ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ repeat at 23:00 with 25,200 viewers, ‘Super Dancer Chapter 3’ at 20:00 with 24,100 viewers. Earlier in the day, 62nd Filmfare Awards at 14:00 fetched 22,400 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘The Voice’ at 20:00 was watched by 45,100 viewers, followed by ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ Maha Episode at 18:00 with 21,700 viewers and repeat of ‘Koffee With Karan’ at 19:00 with 18,300 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Zidd’ led with 29,800 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Ranjha Ranjha Kardi’ at 20:00 with 20,900 viewers and ‘The Afternoon Show’ at 19:0 with 14,100 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ at 21:00 drew 37,900 viewers, followed by ‘Naagin 3’ at 20:00 with 17,400 viewers and ‘Court Room’ at 22:30 with 5,900 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Bojh’ repeat at 10:00 pulled in 22,700 viewers, followed by ‘Qaid’ at 17:00 with 12,100 viewers and ‘Kamzarf’ at 16:00 with 8,000 viewers.

On Sony MAX, ‘Fanney Khan’ was the biggest film across all Asian TV networks with 26,600 viewers at 20:00.

On Sony SAB TV, movie ‘Wazir’ at 18:45 attracted 9,600 viewers and ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ at 8,800 viewers at 08:00 and 8,300 viewers at 08:30.

On ZEE TV, ‘Out & About’ at 14:00 raked in 6,000 viewers and ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs’ at 19:30 debuted with 5,600 viewers.
