The UK TV premiere of ‘Shirin Farhad Toh Nikal Padi’ on Rishtey last night (Sunday 11th November) gave Rishtey its best ever ratings since the channel launched.
According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia from Attentional, Rishtey trounced rival with three times more viewers than Star Plus during the 19:00 – 22:00 slot.
‘Shirin Farhad Toh Nikal Padi’ grabbed an audience of 45,600 – peaking at 115,600. Its audience share during the time slot was 0.17% – but again peaking at 0.43% – one of the biggest shares for the channel since its debut in the UK in September.
Rival, Star Plus managed to get an average audience of 16,700 – peaking at 50,300. The channel had a share of 0.06% – touching a high of 0.19%.
Rishtey hopes to better its position and rating in the coming weeks with even more premieres lined up and new shows. How much of this will impact the long running market leader – Star Plus, remains to be seen.
