Overnights: ‘Shanaakht’ storms UK ratings

Pakistani fiction ‘Shanaakht’, proved a huge hit in the UK Asian TV ratings last night, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

The show, which was broadcast at 20:00, pulled in 116,800 viewers – peaking at a massive 172,200 viewers. The show was easily the slot leader beating Indian giants Star Plus and Colors. ‘Main Abdul Qadir Hoon’ at 21:00 did well with 57,500 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ topped ratings with 175,000 viewers, followed by ‘Ek Hasina Thi’ with 149,500 viewers and ‘Saathiya’ at 19:00 with 102,900 viewers. New fictions ‘Nisha Aur Uske Cousins’ and ‘Everest’ continue to underperform with just 35,700 viewers and 38,000 viewers respectively.

On Colors, ‘Bigg Boss 8’ led the 21:00 slot with 128,400 viewers, followed by ‘Uttaran’ at 22:00 with 35,600 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Parichay’ and ‘Meri Aashiqui’ were level with 54,800 viewers each at 20:00 and 20:30 respectively.

On Life Ok, ‘Savdhaan India’ remained top with 45,900 viewers at 22:30, followed by ‘Pukaar’ at 20:30 with 11,700 viewers and ‘Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh’ with 5,300 viewers at 21:30.
