Overnights: SEE TV first day UK ratings disappoint

The recently launched Turkish/Pakistani entertainment channel, SEE TV has had a disappointing start in UK ratings, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

SEE TV joined audience measuring body, BARB on Monday. Looking over at its first day data, SEE TV struggled all-day with zero data in majority of its output. A zero ratings equates to audience numbers too small to register. ‘Kahani Zindagi Ki’ at 19:00 was the only show to garner above the zero mark, with an average of 100 viewers – peaking to 700 viewers.

A lot of channels have recently launched in the UK, like SEE TV, without any marketing push. It remains to be seen how SEE TV plans to lure viewers to its channel in the coming weeks and months.

It was announced yesterday that Evolution Media Network will be handling ethnic sales for the channel.
