Overnights: ‘Savdhaan India’ record high in UK

Star Life Ok’s real-life stories show ‘Savdhaan India’ has emerged as one of the most watched shows in the UK last night and grabbing the best ever viewership for the channel.

According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia, the long-running show pulled in a record 91,300 viewers – peaking at 111,800 viewers – the biggest ever for the show and the channel. In second place was fiction ‘Do Dil Ek Jaan’ with 18,900 viewers and ‘Mahadev’ attracting 6,500 viewers.

Re-run shows on Star Life Ok, ‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ in Hindi at 14:00 pulled in 4,400 viewers, while the English dubbed version at 18:00 got 1,000 viewers. The re-run of ‘Geet’ at 14:30 got 3,500 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘SaraswatiChandra’ was the most watched show on UK Asian television with 175,900 viewers, followed by ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ with 164,300 viewers and ‘Meri Bhabhi’ in third with 159,400 viewers.

The others in the pecking order were ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ (155,800), ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ (155,500), ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ (135,200), ‘Veera’ (85,800), ‘Ek Ghar Banaunga’ (81,200) and ‘Saathiya’ (74,900).

On Rishtey, ‘Bani – Ishq Da Kalma’ was the most watched show with 90,100 viewers, while ‘Bairi Piya’ was in second place with 87,700 viewers and ‘Jeevan Saathi’ in third with 72,500 viewers.

On Zing, ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ at 15:00 got 23,300 viewers, followed by ‘Bollywood Life’ at 18:00 with 8,700 viewers and ‘Ten On Ten’ with 3,400 viewers at 16:00.

On Sony SAB TV, ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ got 37,600 viewers at 20:30, followed by ‘Baal Veer’ with 23,300 viewers and ‘Jeanie Aur Juju’ with 15,600 viewers.
